The 2015 Wedding Season Is Officially In Full Swing

Trista and Sam’s Rustic country wedding took place in Ridgefield Washington at Lucy’s Garden.

Lucy’s is nestled in the heart of Ridgefield, Washington on five acres of family owned and operated property that features a large and luscious garden with  a charming water feature and pond, a dazzling landscaped yard and gazebo, and an amazing big red party barn that is the highlight of the event experience.  Lucy’s Garden sets itself apart from most other event facilities because of the vast flexibility the venue has in creating a unique and personal theme for each and every event.

Trista is an avid quilter so she carried the theme thru in all the décor. Her bridal bouquets, boutonnieres, corsages and centerpieces were a combination of White Peony, Dusty Miller, Purple Matsomoto Asters, Lavender Roses, Blue Belladonna, Thistle, Green Hydrangea, Limonium, Wax Flower and of course Baby’s Breath. All the pieces were wrapped in quilting fabric strips that Trista provided.

We also used a combination of painted tin cans, beer bottles with chalk writing for the table names and fabric squares to reflect the same home spun charm.

The day turned out to be an unexpected sunny day and an equally wonderful and unexpected surprise to see this venue for the first time.

Hopefully, not the last…..

Congratulations to Trista & Sam on getting hitched!

Congratulations Allison and Kevin – married at the Ainsworth House in Oregon City

The Ainsworth House in Oregon City is a beautiful setting for weddings. We worked with the bride to select blooms to compliment the history of the Greek Revival home and grounds. Old fashioned touches of dahlias, garden roses, and dusty miller created a soft, romantic bridal bouquet. Bridesmaids carried Tiffany blue hydrangeas which popped against their coral dresses. We used our shephard’s crooks to hang mason jars with alternating dahlias and hydrangeas as row markers for the ceremony. Low centerpeices featured floating dahlias over blue glass marbles.

Thank you to Catherine Conkey at White Rabbit Studioz for sharing these gorgeous photographs with us. She does an incredible job and really captures the magic of the wedding. Check out more of her work at

Our lovely bride Amanda was married in the Abernethy’s Veiled Garden, which suited her garden style flowers perfectly.  Her colors were a vibrant purple, hydrangea blue, and sunny yellow.  Here are a few pictures for you to enjoy.

The Ainsworth House & Gardens, A Stunning Local Venue!

We are incredibly excited to announce that we are now a preferred vendor for the Ainsworth House & Gardens.  With nearly 3,000 square feet of indoor reception space as well as lush outdoor ceremony sites, the Ainsworth House is the perfect place for any event, and can accommodate  up to 125 guests.  This decadent venue is tucked away on two immaculate acres in a quiet Oregon City neighborhood; far from the noise of busy streets yet just a quick commute from anywhere in the Portland area.  Our studio is located less than two miles from The Ainsworth house, and we are happy to do onsite consultations at the venue.

The house itself has a rich history, and was originally built in 1851 on an 18 acre site.  Over the years, the house has been added to, with a major addition being put on in 1851, and then the bay windows between 1910 and 1920.  The house maintained all 18 acres until 1990, when the then-owners began selling off extra land for development. The house currently has just over 2 acres and is protected by being on the National Historical Registry.

Glamorous Green at the Abernethy Center

We just couldn’t wait to share these pictures with you.  This great green wedding was one of our all time favorites!  In addition to all of the lime colored flowers; various fruit, ribbons, rocks, and soda bottles were employed to give this wedding fun whimsical feeling.  The cake table was particularly interesting, and was created by laying stripes of decor on a round table, then placing a glass top over it to hold the cake and display decor.  The black and white geometric cake was the crowning glory, and quite the work of art.  The rest of the tables sported black and white linens and bottles of green apple soda, as well as green apple centerpieces.  We used tulips, orchids, mini calla lilies, gerbera daisies, mums, and hypericum berries in the bride’s bouquet.  The attendants’ bouquets, boutonnières, and aisle flowers were made using primarily gerbera daisies and mums.  It was an absolute pleasure to work on such a unique and innovative wedding.

Zenith Vineyard in Color!!

This gorgeous wedding at Zenith Vineyard used vivid colors and rustic lanterns to enhance the old world look of the Vineyard’s ballroom.  A number of different flowers were used in this wedding including: mini calla lilies, hydrangea, freesia, roses, orchids, delphinium, mums, dahlias, sweet pea, thistle, and hypericum berries.  The use of so many flowers added amazing texture to the bouquets and centerpieces.  The bride’s bouquet was a stark contrast in all white that stood out beautifully during the ceremony and reception.  We hope you enjoy the pictures of this wedding as  much as we enjoyed working on it.

Pretty in Pink at Zenith Vineyard

One of our great brides sent us these pictures from her wedding at Zenith Vineyard; they were so beautiful, we wanted to share them.  The bride’s bouquet featured: pink roses, ivory mini calla lilies, stephanotis, and green hypericum berries.  The centerpieces were designed to coordinate using the same pink roses, along with pink hydrangea, and green hypericum berries.  The flowers went perfectly with the romantic vineyard setting, thanks again to the lovely bride who sent us the pictures.

Red Hot Hilton Wedding

This wedding was awesome, it used bright red flowers flowers that were set off by aqua linens.  The alter was super dramatic with white drapes and aqua up-lighting.  We really enjoyed working on this wedding, and we’d love to work on yours.  Call us today to schedule your complimentary consultation (503) 794-9370.

Pretty in Pink at the Oregon Golf Club

Sweet pink roses were featured in this beautifully traditional wedding at the Oregon Golf Club.  The flowers were kept simple, and accented with black ribbon for an elegant look.  The bouquets and centerpieces were styled in a classic round shape, and the aisle and tables were embellished with pink rose petals.  The soft pink roses and petals stood out against the black table linens, in a lovely contrast.  Give us a call today, and no matter what your style preference is we can meet you needs and make your wedding dreams come true, (503) 794-9370.
